Jornada Social 2023

Jornada Social is a project by Marom, a group of young adults from Shalom. For 10 years we have been organizing editions of this program, enabling an experience of social exchange with
communities around the world. We have already been to Kenya, in the interior of Maranhão and
Pará and also to Itamambuca beach, building benches, vegetable gardens, and taking medical care.

This year we will work with two communities with different projects. Construction of a community
bathroom in “Comunidade do Prata”, the oldest community in Jalapão, the need that came from the leadership of the community appears so that we can improve the infrastructure of community-based tourism, the community’s source of income. We will make a construction that respects the culture and tradition of the community, together with the people of the community!

The Jornada takes place between November 28, 2023, and December 5, 2023. It will be eight days that include travel, tours, and a lot of community work!
